Artist and North County resident,
Jane LaFazio, has been elected President of the San Diego Watercolor Society, a
non-profit organization of approximately 600 members. San Diego Watercolor
Society, founded in 1965, is one of the largest and most active organizations of
its kind in the nation.
As an all volunteer organization, SDWS relies on the time, energy and expertise
of its member to keep functioning.
SDWS sponsors activities that encourage creative skills, feature individual and
public art education, and promote a wider appreciation of watercolor.
Membership in SDWS is open to anyone interested in water-based media on paper;
both artists and admirers of the arts.
The San Diego Watercolor Society Showcase Gallery is currently located at 2400
Kettner Blvd, in the Little Italy section of downtown San Diego. For more
